China's Coupling Market Exceeds 48 Billion Yuan in 2026, Intelligence and Greenization Drive High-Quality Industry Transformation

Admin 2026-05-26

China's coupling industry is at a critical historical juncture of transformation from scale expansion to quality and efficiency improvement. The latest industry data shows that China's coupling market size has exceeded 48 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 9.3%, significantly higher than the global average.
Driven by the national "New Productive Forces" strategy and high-end equipment manufacturing industry policies, flexible couplings with deviation compensation, buffering and vibration absorption, and intelligent monitoring functions have increased their share to 62%, becoming the absolute main force in the market, while the share of traditional rigid couplings has continued to shrink to 28%. In terms of regional distribution, the Yangtze River Delta region accounts for 38% of the market share due to its complete industrial chain cluster advantages. The central and western regions have seen a growth rate of 12.4% as their capacity to undertake industrial transfers has increased, showing a trend of inward shift of the market center.
The industry development presents two core trends: First, intelligence and integration. Intelligent couplings with built-in sensors have begun to be widely used in predictive maintenance, which can monitor parameters such as torque and temperature in real time with a fault warning accuracy rate of 95%. It is expected that the market share of high-end couplings meeting intelligent standards will exceed 45% by the end of 2026. Second, green manufacturing and long-life design. Stricter environmental regulations have promoted the green transformation of coupling production. The proportion of couplings using lead-free plating processes has increased to 50%, and the market share of high-efficiency energy-saving couplings has also exceeded 50%.
